I have a feeling a psychologist or psychiatrist might object strongly to this book and its simplification of complicated psychiatric disorders, but for those of us laymen who enjoy psychological mysteries, it's a fascinating book. I had problems at the beginning...took me quite a few chapters to develop any kind of fondness for the protagonist. But once she met her man, the thorns dulled a bit and she seemed less impressed with herself and her PhD. All in all, very suspenseful, an engrossing if shallow glimpse into mental illness, fast moving, and worth a read.Product details

Even though it was not FULL of surprises, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.
A very good read, especially for those interested in psychoanalysis and dedication to ones profession.
This is one of those stories that will keep you up late reading, and will stay with you long after "the end." A genuine page-turner that both chills and thrills with engaging characters you'll cheer for and be afraid for. . .with good reason. A great read. Linda B Myers is my new favorite author.
A great book about situational ethics and the mysteries of human psychology. Featuring a number of well-developed, strong female characters, this book was a satisfying read.
It was so incredibly tense and evocative that I had to stop myself from reading this fascinating novel too close to bedtime if I wanted to get to sleep.
Note that at the end of Lessons of Evil there is a preview of Linda B. Myer's newest novel, Fun House Chronicles. It looks great and I can't wait to see where Linda B. Myers' talent will lead me next.
I really had to stick with it at first. I was probably distracted at the time. Once I got into th we story it was hard to put it down. The battery ran low forcing me to quit early one time. I will look for other books by Linda Myers.
Loved this book, the story was really interesting, the subject not one that's worn out. The story flowed really well. There were a few typos and grammar errors, but not a lot. I don't usually give 5 stars, but I really liked this book.
This book looks unblinkingly into the world of a corrupt and evil cult, where a charismatic individual has manipulated and shaped the weak and gullible to his own depraved ends. The cult's tentacles have spread through the small town where Laura Covington thought she had found a haven.
The dark subject matter is dealt with in a compassionate but unflinching way that is far from the voyeuristic tone of some thrillers. I love a story where you learn about something new, and found the aspects relating to the manifestation of multiple personality disorders fascinating.
Lessons of Evil delivers several intriguing and memorable characters, with protagonist Laura a clear-eyed, sympathetic and believable centre to this gripping, fast-paced story that kept me turning the e-pages.
